Many smaller pay-per-click search engines who offer purely sponsored results generally don't
have results to show their visitors if a keyword is not in their advertiser database. Thus, the
visitor is probably not going to return to the site sensing the results are very limited.
Many pay-per-click search engines not only display their own advertisers results but also
pull in data via XML feeds from other larger ppc engines (e.g. - findwhat, kanoodle, enhance, etc.)
Even in this instance, the number of results presented to the user will most likely be limited.
Solara doesn't have a very large index of the web but the research index of our web search project
does contain high quality links. We also have a locally indexed copy of the DMOZ directory, one of the most popular
web directories on the planet. Most major search engines, including Google, have integrated the DMOZ directory
into their results.
For a monthly fee, we can give your servers access to our web search project XML feed. This feed will allow you
to give your visitors results for almost every query they submit. We can also provide your site access to our
news headlines plus allow you to display a web directory on your site. Visitors
will be able to browse web categories in which you can also display sponsored links within.
Cost of the web search project XML Feed varies with how many queries your site handles each day. Use the
contact form to tell us about your site and your daily query volume. As this is
a feed into our research index, we'll generally try to offer smaller sites a package they can afford.
