Almonds are the edible seeds of the almond tree also called Prunus dulcis. Almonds are indigenously grown in the Middle East however the U.S. has now become its biggest producer globally. The almonds that are sold in stores generally have their shell separated, showing the edible nut in the interior. Almonds are sold either raw or roasted and contain extraordinary nutrients in them.
